I've worked with children who have learning difficulties as both an educator and a psychologist. I've taught kids mindfulness and seen how it improves attention, memory, emotion regulation, and academic progress. I'm passionate about helping kids find ways to be more mindful, joyful, creative, compassionate, generous, and productive at school and at home.
I have a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from the University of New Mexico. I'm also the Executive Director of a nonprofit institute that helps at-risk children learn mindfulness so they be happier and more successful. (To find out more about The Mindful Youth Institute, click on the button below.) I live with my husband and cat in southern Colorado.

I use a playful approach to engage children in learning how to self-regulate their attention and emotion. Mindful play brings children into the present moment, allowing them to open to the healing power of warm-hearted attention and acceptance.
One hundred percent! What happens in our sessions stays in our sessions.
Three to six coaching sessions, and then we'll re-evaluate.
